Habitat, operated by Prodigy Studios LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when using our mobile application (“App”) and website ( [gethabitat.co](/content/site-root.html)).

By creating an account or logging in, you agree that we may email you about account updates, security alerts, and occasional promotional content. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time.

## 2. Information We Collect

**For Adults (Parents/Guardians):**

- First name or nickname
- Email address
- Usage data collected via Google Analytics

**For Children:**

- First name or nickname (purely for family use)
- No usage data or analytics are collected from children

## 3. How We Collect Data

We collect information through:

- App onboarding (name/nickname and email)
- Google Analytics (adults only, for usage data)

## 4. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect data to:

- Create and manage user accounts
- Process payments (handled via Apple and Google Play, we do not store payment info)
- Improve app functionality
- Provide customer support

## 5. Data Storage & Protection

We store data securely using **Supabase**, protected by access controls.

Authentication tokens are stored locally using **Flutter's Shared Preferences** for keeping users logged in. This data is not shared externally.

## 6. Data Sharing

We do **not** share personal data with third parties. However, in-app purchases are handled securely by Apple and Google Play.

## 7. User Rights & Data Deletion

Users have the right to access, modify, or delete their data. They can:

## 8. Age Restrictions & Compliance

Habitat is designed for families (ages 4+). We comply with **COPPA** (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and U.S. privacy laws, including **CCPA** (California Consumer Privacy Act). We do not currently operate under GDPR compliance.

## 9. Cookies & Tracking

We do **not** use cookies for advertising. Shared Preferences are used locally for authentication purposes only.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be communicated via an **in-app alert**.
